The headlines and storylines entering into this season are open for interpretation. The early season favourite within the Recreational Division for the first time in a couple seasons isn't too clear cut. One thing is certain, this will be no cake walk at the playground. The NBBL Recreational Fall Division promises to be a thriller.  Six teams are ready to prove they have what it takes to capture the NBBL Championship. These six teams will battle it out starting Tuesday, October 4th at Hillfield Strathallan College. Teams were drawn at random and scheduled accordingly.

Meet the Teams

The Come Ups

This group enter their inaugural NBBL season looking to make a statement from the jump! Members of this team participated on Parlez De Nous during the summer season and are looking to bring a championship to their newly assembled team. With key additions their team captain is confident that they have what it take to hoist the trophy. Look for this team to get up the court in a hurry and really score the basketball.

First Game: vs Pistons at 7:30pm at Hillfield Strathallan College - Spallacci Gymnasium.

 Dream Team

The Dream Team enter among the pre-season favourites slated to find themselves competing for a championship. Coming off a 2016 Summer League Recreational Championship formerly as the Bench Warmers, members of that group are back under a new name as the Dream Team. Anchoring the team is 2016 Recreational Summer league MVP Mark Ferracuti, along with returning members Dan Costantini, Christian Ferracuti and Thomas Paleochoritis. This team has the talent to run the tables once again, but do they be able to put it all together to capture the title?

First Game: vs Warriors at 9:30pm @ Hillfield Strathallan College - Spallacci Gymnasium.

 Friendship Group

After their first season together playing in the NBBL Advanced Division, Friendship Group will aim their efforts on chasing gold within the Recreational Division. The Advanced Division this past summer featured a supercharged format of 16 teams, assuredly providing the experience this group would need to take it all the way.

First Game: vs Parlez De Nous at 8:30pm at Hillfield Strathallan College - Spallacci Gymnasium.

Parlez De Nous

Last season Parlez De Nous (PDN) sat among the bottom feeders of the league within the Recreational Division. This season, PDN adds some needed high end scoring ability to their front line. They're ready to make right on a lackluster summer campaign.

First Game: vs Friendship Group at 8:30pm at Hillfield Strathallan College - Spallacci Gymnasium.

Pistons

The Pistons team enters the NBBL for the first time as a group. Team chemistry could take some time to come together, but this team has a very high upside from the guard position and a great deal of IQ that will prove vital. If the front court is able to compete on a nightly basis this group could find themselves battling for the title come seasons end.

First Game: vs The Come Ups at 7:30pm at Hillfield Strathallan College - Spallacci Gymnasium.

 Warriors

The Warriors also enter the NBBL as a new team. Complied of NBBL veterans, this group knows what it takes to win in this league. Chemistry shouldn't be a problem for this team. A smooth well orchestrated offensive game will be their strength throughout the season.

First Game: vs Dream Team at 9:30pm @ Hillfield Strathallan College - Spallacci Gymnasium.

As the basketball season is just around the corner, the smell of basketball is in the air as we get ready to lock into another action packed NBBL Season.

Let the games begin!
