The Week 1 NBBL Player of the Week is Jamar Coke. The defending champs Parlez De Nous, are back and looking to repeat. They exhibited a strong showing in Week 1 against a tough United Nations team. It wouldn't be a surprise to see these two battling for the trophy at seasons end. Coke totalled 25 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal.
The other Top Performers for Week 1 are:
Brad Derksen - #23 YLAB: YLAB got off to a vey slow start in this contest but were able to battle back and defeat a resilient Jazz team. Derksen finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.
Michael Owen Evans-Branagh - #1 Ducks: Michael and the Ducks got out to a hot shooting start in the opening game of the NBBL Season and were able to hold off a late charge from Tune Squad to pull out the victory. Evans-Branagh tallied 16 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
Roland Gaulton - #3 Parlez De Nous: Coke's Parlez De Nous running mate continued right where he left off last season with hot shooting and strong offensive play. Gaulton notched 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal.
Dan Kandilas - #23 Kekambas: In the final game of the evening, the Kekambas and The Brotherhood squared off in a thrilling game. Kekambas jumped out to an eight point lead at the half, however Brotherhood made a late run before coming up just short, 52-51. Kandilas finished with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
